About Lily Grace

LGP-0488_edited.jpg

Lily Grace started scribbling out stories to describe the worlds and characters she saw exclusively her head. Now, instead of scribbles, she writes her early drafts of strictly in cursive. Through stories of many types, including contemporary, literary fiction, and fantasy, she seeks to connect with readers who have lived through mental and spiritual trauma, drawing from her own experiences and the stories she sees unfolding around her. When she’s not writing, you can find her making, drinking, writing, or dreaming about coffee, connecting with friends and fellow readers on social media, and getting lost in whimsical worlds.

Why I Write What I Write

Have you ever looked around at the world and felt like it's hopeless?

Have you ever looked at yourself and felt deeply flawed because of what other people say about you?

Have you ever wondered if you will ever get better from trauma that you've gone through?

Because I've been there.

I've knelt in the dirt of the aftermath of truama and breathed in the ash wondering if the air will ever clear.

And I know that there are people like me who deserve to be seen. Even if their stories are not exactly like mine, I know there will always be someone else who will relate and see them even better than I will.

I believe that every story deserves to be told and that every person should feel seen.

In a world of loneliness, depression, exhaustion, and isolation I think that stories should bring us together, should help us learn more about ourselves, and the people around us, and give us oxygen while the ash surrounds us.
